"Soul Contract Theory"

I just learned about "soul contract theory" from reddit. The idea is simple but wild: before you are born, your soul makes a plan with other souls.

According to this belief/theory, the people in your life are playing parts you agreed on before birth. The ones who challenge you, break your heart, or support you are all there to help you learn specific life lessons.

It's a strange thought. It can be comforting to think that hard times and difficult people have a purpose. But it can also feel a bit creepy to think your life is already planned out.

Next time someone is really annoying me, it's an interesting mental trick to think we just signed a contract for them to teach me patience.
